
Angel One Shares Drop 4% After AWS Data Leak Incident
Shares of Angel One fell nearly 4% on February 28 after the company disclosed a data leakage caused by a compromise in its Amazon Web Services (AWS) resources.
In an exchange filing, Angel One stated that on February 27, its dark-web monitoring partner alerted the company via email about unauthorized access leading to a data breach. Upon investigation, Angel One confirmed that some of its AWS resources had been compromised.
To mitigate risks, the company immediately changed credentials for its AWS cloud and other applications. Additionally, an external forensic partner has been engaged to assess the impact of the breach and conduct a root cause analysis.
Angel One assured that clients’ securities, funds, and credentials remain unaffected, and all client accounts are secure.
